Bringing diversity in the industry and in my work.
I’m a Mexican graphic designer based in the Chicago-land area.
I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an emphasis in Visual Communications.
I have strived to bring attention to the people of color, especially Latinos, in the world of art and design. My Mexican background has influenced the way I work and designs; through bold colors or fonts, eye-catching patterns and icons, there’s always a sense of pride and personality in my work, two things that are also very important in my culture.
what makes me different
the different types of Lupe
Culturally Heavy
Influenced by the handmade design work seen in the towns of Mexico, Lupe strives to create strong visual messaging through designs that have personality and a passion for the message being made.
Synesthetically Italic
def. in which one sense activates another; ex. seeing sounds.
Lupe’s ability to see colors through sound helps create a unique design style and experience. Colors have a strong impact on design, create a strong message with someone who not only sees them but hears them.
Personally Regular
You are not just a business partner or a transaction. Everyone Lupe works with is treated like a friend, whether it’s the friendly banter or casual conversation. You can expect to work with someone who not only cares about your project, but about you too.
