My Interpretation
As an avid taste-tester, my biggest problem is buy a new flavor of a food or drink only to try it and not enjoy it. Being left with a whole case of something I no longer want to consume is frustrating.
This website/company is aimed specifically to tea lovers who don’t want to get stuck with a flavor of tea that is not – well, their cup of tea. It allows for people to test teas and discover new teas without the risk of getting stuck with a box that won’t see more than the back of your cupboard.

Inspiration Behind Visual Style
Because all of my forms of synesthesia trigger various color responses, it was almost a no brainer that my visual style was going to be at the very least, colorful. Even though colors experienced through synesthesia aren’t bright and colorful all the time, I wanted something eye-catching. Since one of the goals of my project is to bring attention to this rare phenomenon, I need a way to get people’s attention and this was a sure way of doing so. It also made it playful and lively, two attributes I wanted to have due to the interactive elements of this project.
Branding
Even though the main purpose of the site was to show off a unique transactional site, branding was still an important though secondary factor. Tea is cozy and calming so the visual elements were based on natural elements like the made by hand style type and icon, lighter greens for backgrounds and subtle not-overwhelming imagery.
