My Interpretation
As someone who loves food and space, I wanted to combine the two to create a site that sold space themed ice cream.
From research I found that many ice cream sites have complex and “over the top” sites that make them difficult to navigate so I aimed to simplify the site while keeping the brand’s fun characteristics.
Starting a Site
For this project, we were to learn how to create a site by breaking it down to its bare bones. This meant creating a site architecture and wireframes. Now this step is included in my own site process to ensure we plan and catch everything we need before we start building the actual site design.
Brand Idea + Logo
As a lover of ice cream and space this brand came almost naturally. The issue of creating name that wasn’t already taken or corny took a bit of research to resolve but ended with Cosmic Creamery. The logo came about through finding similarities in shapes used for space and ice cream/frozen treats.
